Big Coffee is learning from Big Tobacco

Some people are taking this "sue Starbucks" nonsense at face value. Certainly Rush Limbaugh is. It's entertaining, but I disagree. Starbucks has too long been a good liberal ally. So, unless they've sold out to capitalistic eeevil... Oh, wait. Perhaps they have? Heh. How many frou-frou coffee shops does Starbucks have worldwide now?

Either liberals are now eating their own young companies (not just aborting them) -- or -- Starbucks has seen how successful Phillip Morris & Company have become since the Federal Government sued them. Other companies sued by silly people (Microsoft, AT&T, etc) have been very successful. Rumor has it that McDonald's got more than enough sympathy purchases of coffee after the $2.5-billion hot coffee incident to make up for the stupid jury judgment.

In my imagination, Starbucks is in cahoots with the communist idiotistas at the "Center for Science in the Public Interest" to pump up their own over-expanded business. Starbucks doesn't want to lower themselves to becoming just another franchisor, and they need something to spur further growth! What better way to gain sympathy with the black coffee-drinking conservative crowd that has always mocked Starbucks inability to call a large coffee what it is than to become "the target" of a known liberal hack "consumer health group"?

Don't fall for it, people! The wackos at CSPI won't sue Starbucks. Overpriced, over-roasted (burned) coffee is safe. It's just a PR campaign.
